| Having received regional & national press coverage and appearing on BBC Look East, teaching golf to children from 3 years of age and having our own 9 hole mini-golf course, must be fairly unique. The Silks Golfers programme was created by Silks Farm Nursery School and experienced PGA golf professionals. Using both the nursery's sports field and golf course, the children learn about all aspects of the game through weekly sessions. |

These sessions, which can range from 30 to 45 minutes, cover topics like golf etiquette, different types of golf club and their purpose, and how to correctly hold the club and hit the ball. Through a series of fun and educational games, the children will learn to negotiate, with their ball, through various types of hazards such as pretend lakes & bunkers, finally putting their ball in the hole on the green. Each topic is introduced by an experienced PGA golf professional, with the support of the nursery staff.
